Sometime in 2015, I was on my way home from school and I decided to take the 4 train. On that ride home, I happened to meet eyes with this old man no more than three times. In New York you don't do that. This man got threatened by me and as he pulled a Bic pen out of his pocket and said "Do we have a problem?" I was stunned by this man's threat. I was like what the fuck is he going to do with that pen. I told him we didn't have a problem, and I switched carts afterwards. A year later, a similar situation happened with this one guy I knew from elementary school but he didn't recognize me, and he wanted to fight me because I looked at him. But ever since those two situations, I don't look at anyone on the train anymore.
